What we get asked
How much does junk removal cost?
Most jobs fall into one of five truck-volume tiers, ranging from $125 for a single item up to $850 for a full trailer load. We confirm the final price on-site before any work begins. See our pricing page for full details.
Do you offer same-day service?
Yes — most jobs can be scheduled within 24 hours, and same-day service is often available. We’re open 7 days a week, 8am to 6pm.
What areas do you serve?
The entire Portland metro area, including Portland, Beaverton, Gresham, Hillsboro, Lake Oswego, Oregon City, Milwaukie, Tigard, Clackamas, and Vancouver, WA. Travel charges may apply outside our standard 20-mile radius.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. G.I. Junk Removal is licensed (Oregon CCB #259827), bonded, and fully insured. COI documentation available for commercial and government clients.
Do you sort and donate items?
Yes — donation-first sorting is part of every job. We’ve diverted over a million pounds from landfill. Usable furniture, working appliances, and household goods are routed to local nonprofits and reuse partners whenever possible.
What can’t you take?
Hazardous chemicals (paint thinner, solvents, pesticides), asbestos-containing materials, live ammunition, medical waste, wet paint, motor oil, and full propane tanks. We’ll point you to the right local resource for these — just ask.
Do you handle demolition?
Yes. We tear out sheds, decks, fences, interior walls, drywall, flooring, tile, cabinets, and more — and haul away all debris in the same trip. See our demolition page for the full list.
How do I get an estimate?
Call, text, or book online. Photos or descriptions help us give a quick estimate, and our crew confirms the final price on-site before starting. Most estimates take less than two minutes.
Do you offer recurring service?
Yes — we work with property managers, storage facilities, and commercial accounts on weekly, monthly, or on-call recurring schedules. Email [email protected] for pricing.
How do you accept payment?
Cash, check, or credit card at the time of service. Net-30 terms available for approved commercial and government accounts.
Are you really veteran-owned?
Yes. G.I. Junk Removal was founded by veterans and we continue to employ veterans on our crews. Service is in our DNA — not a marketing angle.
Do you handle hoarder situations?
Yes, with patience and discretion. Our crews are trained to work without judgment and at the homeowner’s pace. We coordinate with families, social workers, and estate teams when helpful.
